The all permits section in Civic Review is helpful when you want to create reports that are specific. However, exporting that report can be more difficult than the other reports section. This article will walk you through exporting a report in All Permits.
Step 1: Create Your Report
The first thing you need to do is actually create your report. Once you've created your report, you can move onto the next step. For more information on how to build a report, visit our help article: Reports in All Permits
Step 2: Copy the Information
The best way to export a report in the all permits section is through copy and paste. There are some important things to note:
KEEP YOUR MOUSE IN THE WHITE SECTION! We've found that when highlighting the information you want to copy, you must keep your mouse within the white part of the screen. If you start with your mouse outside of this section, or drag it outside of this section, when you paste the report the formatting will not work. View the screenshot below for more clarification.
Go ahead and highlight all the information you've obtained in your report while keeping your moused contained within the box shown above, and either right-click the screen or use a keyboard shortcut to copy the information.
Step 3: Paste
At this point, you will want to open a blank spreadsheet in your desired tool. This might be Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
In the document, click on the cell in the top left corner and paste. You should see all the information from your reports pasted into your new spreadsheet. Now you can rename and save your spreadsheet!
