We've got plenty of help articles and content on the plan review feature and how to set things up and process plan reviews from a Coordinator perspective.
This article is a brief overview of what the plan review process looks like from the Reviewer perspective. So, if you're a reviewer, here's what you can expect:
Email Notification:
As a reviewer, you don't need to be in Civic Review every day. You'll get an email notification any time action is required on your part. So, when staff ties you in on a plan review, you'll immediately receive an email with a link to go review that plan set.
You can simply click on the "Review Now" button and it will take you directly to the plan review in question.
Viewing Plans:
You can view the plans by simply clicking on the document link. This will open up the plans in a separate tab within your browser:
From this tab, you can hit the download button to download a copy of the plans. This is perfect if you'd like to use a markup software to notate specific changes.
Making Comments:
Under "Reviews" click on your department, then click the edit button.
From there you can set your review status as Passed or Changes Needed, type out comments, upload files, and save your review with the button at the bottom.
Then, you're done with that review until the applicant resubmits a file. At that point, you'll receive another email, and complete another review (using the steps above). You can list out additional changes; or, if everything looks good, simply set the status to Passed and save your review.
