Make It Your Own: Customizing Status Review Buttons

The standard "Reviewing," "Approved," and "Denied" buttons are great, but sometimes your unique applications need something a little more specific! Fortunately, you can easily customize these labels to better fit your workflow. This guide shows you how!

Why You'll Love Customized Review Buttons

Customizing your review buttons is a fantastic way to make your application process clearer for everyone. Instead of generic statuses, you can use labels that are more specific and helpful, such as:

  • "Under Review"

  • "More Information Needed"

  • "Conditional Approval"

This makes the process more efficient and user-friendly for both your team and your applicants.

How to Customize Your Review Buttons

It's quick and easy to update your status review buttons!

  1. Access Permit Type Settings: Log in to your Civic Review account and navigate to the specific permit type that you want to customize.

  1. Find "Approval Labels": In the permit type settings, look for the "Approval Labels" section.

  2. Edit the Labels: You'll see a list of the different status labels. Click on the one you want to change, and then simply replace the default text with your own custom text.

  3. Test and Save: Once you've made your changes, be sure to test them out to make sure they look and work exactly as you intended. When you're happy, click "Save" to make your customizations permanent.

And that's it! You've successfully created a more efficient and user-friendly review process by customizing your status buttons. Great job!
