Default Users:
In Civic Review there are currently 3 default user categories: Viewer, Reviewer, and Admin. You may be curious about what each user's dashboard and Civic Review portal looks like. This article will dive into the Admin role.
Goal & Workflow:
Civic Review's goal for Admins is to provide complete access to manage all aspects of the platform. An Admin has access to do everything, including creating and editing forms, fees, valuations, and certificates, and adding and managing users. They are the primary users responsible for setting up the system, managing user access, and overseeing all application workflows. As an Admin, you've got the same access as Civic Review staff!!
In the overall workflow of a permit or application, an Admin user has full visibility and control. They can mark any approval box (pre-approval, department approval, or final approval) and edit fees and permit details. An admin user is often tied in as the Gatekeeper or Notification Recipient in order to be notified when to complete pre-reviews and final reviews.
Navigation and Menu:
Admins have access to create and edit forms, fees, valuations, and certificates.
Within the NEW, ACTIVE, INACTIVE/DENIED, ALL, and RENEWING bins or sections, Admins can view all applications in the system, regardless of department assignment. Applications show up in an Admin's NEW area as soon as they're submitted. Admins can also use the search bar at the top to locate any application.
Reports:
Users with Admin status have the ability to create and run all reports, including access to the Transaction Report area. Admins can create and share customized reports with other users. They can also create personalized lists and views in the ALL Permit section, which will pull in all applications across the system.
Permit Screen & Walkthrough:
Within individual permits, Admins have access to complete department and plan reviews, view and edit fees and permit details, view messages, and download permit details and certificates. Admins have complete control to make any necessary changes to an application.
