Sometimes applicants will make mistakes on an application that need to be corrected. Fortunately, these edits are easy to make. This article will walk you through the different ways you can edit an application that has been submitted.

The first thing you need to know is once an application has been submitted, the applicant can't view their submitted application or make changes. Edits will be your responsibility. There are two areas that will allow you to edit application information. The first way is in the Permit Overview area of the submitted application.

Method 1: Editing the Applicant's Contact Email

The applicant's primary contact email, used for all notifications, can be edited directly from the permit overview screen.

  • On the main permit record, locate the Permit Overview section.

  • Click on the Edit button next to the applicant's contact email.

  • Make your changes and click Save.

Method 2: Editing Application Details

To change any other information submitted on the application (e.g., address, project details), use the Permit Details section.

  • On the permit record, go to the Permit Details section.

  • Click the Edit button located in the top-left corner.

  • Make the necessary changes to the fields.

  • Click Save to apply your changes.

How to View Application History

Civic Review saves a history of all changes made to an application, so you can always see what was edited and by whom.

  • After changes have been made, a message will appear at the top of the Permit Details section.

  • Click "Browse Versions" to view all saved versions of the application.

  • When you select a previous version, any fields that were adjusted will be highlighted, allowing you to easily track all edits.

Now you know how to adjust information in an application! As always, reach out if you have any questions!
