We often get asked about the permit numbers in Civic Review and how they are assigned. You may be wondering if we can continue the permit numbering pattern you had in your previous system. Maybe you want to know if you can edit the numbers.
The permit numbers in Civic Review are randomly generated. There currently isn't a way for your specific numbering convention to autogenerate within our system. However, the permit numbers are very easy to edit if that is something you would like to do. This short article will show you how to edit a permit number in an application.
Step-by-Step Guide
Open the Application: Click on the application record you wish to edit.
Locate Permit Overview: You will see a section titled "Permit Overview" at the top of the page.
Click on the Permit Number: The current, automatically-generated permit number is displayed here. Simply click directly on the number.
Edit the Number: A text field will appear, allowing you to type in your desired permit number.
Save Your Changes: Press the Enter key to save the new number.
