Navigating the Civic Review Applicant Portal
Welcome to Civic Review! This guide is designed for applicants to help you understand how to use your portal, view your application status, and communicate with the city.
Your Applicant Portal
When you submit an application, you don't need to create an account. Instead, a unique portal is automatically created for each application. This portal is your central hub for everything related to that specific application.
From your portal, you can:
View the status of your application.
Make payments for fees.
Read and reply to messages from the city.
How to Log In
There are two main ways to access your portal:
Using Your Reference # and PIN:
Each application is assigned a unique Reference # and a PIN. You will receive these immediately after you submit your application. They are also included in every email notification you get.
You can use these to log in at
https://app.civicreview.com/lookup.
Generally, however you don't have to use the reference number and PIN to access your portal.
Using a Magic Link (The Easy Way):
After you submit an application, you will receive emails from Civic Review whenever an update is available or action is needed. These emails contain a "magic link" that will log you directly into your portal. This is the simplest way to access your application.
When to Expect Emails
You will receive email notifications at key points throughout the application process. The email address you provided on the application form is the primary contact for all communication.
You can expect to receive an email when:
The city sends you a message.
Payment is needed for fees.
Your application has been approved or denied.
You don't need to constantly check your portal. The system will email you whenever you need to take action or when there's an important update.
In Summary
You can access your portal anytime by clicking the magic link in your emails or by entering your Reference # and PIN at https://app.civicreview.com/lookup. You'll always be notified via email when any action is required on your part.
