Navigating the Calendar

The team calendar is your main hub in the Inspection App. It shows inspections and events for all inspectors, letting you see everyone's schedule at a glance. You can switch between different views (day, week, month) to see what's coming up.

Adjusting the view: Use the slider at the top of the screen to change the height of the calendar entries. This helps you zoom in on specific times and details.

Personal vs. Team View: If you're an inspector, you can switch between the team calendar (everyone's schedule) and your own personal calendar by clicking the "View Personal Calendar" link.

Adding an Inspection from the Calendar

You can schedule an inspection directly from the calendar.

  1. Click a time slot: Just click on any open time on the calendar to bring up a menu.

  2. Select "Inspection": From the menu, choose "Inspection" to start the process.

  3. Find the project: A search bar will appear, allowing you to find the project or permit you need to schedule an inspection for.

Tip: Sometimes finding a permit is easier from the main Civic Review platform. Some users will keep the calendar open in one browser tab, while they search for permits and initial the inspection creation from the other browser tab.

Creating Calendar Events

Events are perfect for blocking out time for meetings, training, or other non-inspection tasks.

  1. Create an event: When you click on the calendar, select "Event" from the menu.

  2. Choose a type: You can create a one-time event or a recurring event.

  3. Add details: Fill in the details for your event. For recurring events, you can set a schedule (e.g., "every Tuesday"). Events are a great way to let other staff members know when you are unavailable for inspections.

Editing recurring events: Need to change a single instance of a recurring event? You can modify a specific day's event without affecting the entire series. For example, if your recurring "lunch" event is at 12:00 PM, you can move it to 1:00 PM for one day, and all other days will remain unchanged.
